Bloomberg analyst Henry Jim posted on the X platform stating that ProShares has submitted applications to the SEC for five leveraged Bitcoin spot ETFs. They are: ProShares UltraShort Bitcoin ETF (-2x), ProShares ShortPlus Bitcoin ETF (-1.5x), ProShares Short Bitcoin ETF (-1x), ProShares Plus Bitcoin ETF (+1.5x), and ProShares Ultra Bitcoin ETF (+2x).
These products track the daily performance of the Bloomberg Galaxy Bitcoin Index, with trading codes/fees to be determined, and are scheduled to take effect on April 1st.
Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas said that there may be as many as a dozen similar product applications in the market in the coming months.
HKVAEX recently announced that it will begin to suspend services in phases starting from April 1, 2024, and its official website will be completely closed on May 1, 2024.
Effective immediately, HKVAEX will no longer accept new user registrations or virtual asset recharge services. Trading services will be closed at 23:59 on April 5, 2024. At that time, users will be unable to place any new orders, and all existing spot orders will be automatically canceled by the system.
On March 29, according to updated information on its website, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) revealed that the license application submitted by the virtual asset trading platform HKVAEX has been withdrawn. The information indicates that HKVAEX was removed from the list of virtual asset trading platform applicants on March 28, 2024. The application for the license was submitted on January 4, 2024, and the reason for removal was listed as “withdrawn.”
According to official sources, the TON Foundation plans to launch the first season of Open League on April 1st, offering 30 million Toncoin community rewards, valued at approximately 115 million US dollars. The first season of Open League includes four systems: The League, Token Mining, Quests & Airdrops, and Liquidity Pool Boosts.
Ethena, a DeFi protocol providing a value of 1.3 billion US dollars in USDe tokens, has announced its plans. The protocol plans to airdrop 750 million ENA tokens to users on April 2nd, representing 5% of the total supply. The activity to earn “points” will end on April 1st, making users eligible for the token airdrop. Users who cancel their staking, unlock, or sell all USDe tokens before this date will not be eligible for the airdrop.
Wormhole announced on the X platform that it will commence the airdrop claiming (Claim) on April 3, 2024.
The Nigerian government has accused Binance of money laundering, involving an amount of $35.4 million. After documents were submitted by the EFCC on Thursday, Binance is currently facing two separate criminal charges in Nigeria. The Federal Inland Revenue Service (the country's tax authority) has also accused the exchange of tax evasion. In addition to the criminal proceedings, the Nigerian government is seeking to extend the detention period for Binance executives. The case will continue with a detention hearing scheduled for April 4th.
