According to onchain data shared by Lookonchain, it seems that an ancient crypto whale has indeed made a move after a long wait.
Onchain data showed that the big whale wallet, which contained 426.3 Bitcoin worth $36.62 million, moved 42.3 BTC, or $3.67 million, to another cryptocurrency wallet after a 13-year sleep.
The cryptocurrency whale who carried out this transaction received 426.3 BTC worth $5,753 on July 29, 2011, when the BTC price was trading at $13.49.
It is not known whether this crypto whales latest transfer was a sale or simply a redistribution of funds. However, it is also noteworthy that the transfer came on a day when the Bitcoin price hit an all-time high. Earlier today, BTC broke a new ATH level and peaked at $89,956.
On the other hand, it is important to remember that the crypto whale's transaction was not directed to an exchange wallet address. However, an over-the-counter (OTC) sale may still have occurred.
