Binance Founder CZ Hints at Investing in a New Cryptocurrency Project, Reveals Details

Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) shared his thoughts on the emerging concept of tokenizing the time of social media influencers and hinted at a potential investment from YZi Labs in a project that uses Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Binance Coin (BNB) as primary payment options.

In a post on Binance Square, CZ revived the idea of “time tokens,” which would allow influencers to tokenize their time and pay users directly for their interactions. While previous attempts at this model have struggled to gain traction, CZ believes a refined approach could offer a viable solution.

CZ suggested a platform where verified influencers connect their X (formerly Twitter) or LinkedIn accounts to establish credibility. They can then set a fee, such as 1 BNB or 0.1 BNB, to receive messages from users. If influencers dont respond within five days, 50% of the payment is returned to the sender, reducing spam and encouraging quick responses.

“I would use a platform like this. I would donate the crypto I receive to charity. This would help weed out people who are genuinely trying to contact me,” CZ explained. He also suggested that serious questions could lead to long conversations, potential rewards for security tips, or even full refunds.

CZ revealed that YZi Labs is considering investing in a well-developed MVP (minimum viable product) for its time tokenization platform. Emphasizing the importance of security and functionality, CZ said, “This will require a few days/weeks of coding and security review. If the platform is secure enough, I will be the first user.”
