Elon Musk‘s AI firm, xAI, announced today a partnership with El Salvador’s government to roll out the worlds first nationwide, AI-powered education program.

The initiative will deploy Grok across more than 5,000 public schools over the next two years, reaching over one million students.

The program will provide personalized learning that adjusts to each students pace, preferences, and mastery level. xAI said the system will serve students from urban centers to rural communities, with curriculum-aligned tutoring.

The partnership aims to generate new methodologies, datasets, and frameworks to guide AI use in classrooms globally, with emphasis on local contexts, safety, and human-centered impact. xAI stated the initiative will empower thousands of teachers as collaborative partners in education.
