WikiBit 2026-07-10 19:50Revolut X now connects with AI assistants for market analysis and crypto trades, but users must review and approve every order.
Revolut has connected its standalone crypto exchange, Revolut X, to third-party AI assistants. The integration allows users to study markets, monitor accounts and prepare trades through natural-language instructions.
Supported tools include Claude, Gemini, OpenClaw and Cursor. Revolut has also published a universal plugin and command-line interface for other compatible AI platforms through its official Revolut X API repository.
Users can ask an AI assistant to retrieve live market data, review account balances and explain portfolio performance. They can also create price alerts, examine open positions and prepare market or limit orders without returning to the Revolut X interface.
The tools support plain-language requests. For example, a trader can ask the assistant to assess how a Bitcoin grid strategy would have performed over the previous 90 days. The software can return historical results, risk measurements and possible strategy settings.

Revoluts repository includes separate tools for authentication, market data, account management, trading, monitoring and strategy testing. It also explains how users can install the plugins in supported assistants without building their own integration.
The companys head of crypto product, Leonid Bashlykov, said AI agents provide “much faster workflows, smarter execution, and tighter integration” with tools used by traders.
Users must approve each crypto order
The AI assistants do not receive full authority to complete trades without a final check. Users remain responsible for reviewing and approving each order before Revolut X sends it for execution.
Revolut also warned that it does not operate, endorse or guarantee the third-party AI platforms. The company said it would not accept responsibility for losses, missed opportunities or incorrect trades caused by an assistants faulty output.
That warning raises doubts about how much users should rely on natural-language instructions for financial decisions. AI systems may misunderstand prompts, use incomplete market data or return incorrect calculations.
The Revolut X API documentation also advises users to protect the cryptographic keys that authorize real trades. Credentials remain stored locally, but anyone who gains access to those keys could potentially control the connected account.
Crypto exchanges expand agentic trading
Revolut joins a growing list of crypto companies connecting trading accounts to AI agents. These systems move beyond answering questions by allowing assistants to call exchange tools and prepare or execute financial actions.
As previously reported by crypto.news, Gemini introduced agentic trading through the Model Context Protocol. The system allows compatible AI tools to retrieve order-book data, monitor markets and manage trades under user-defined rules.
Meanwhile, Coinbase launched a platform for AI agents in June. Its tools allow agents to manage portfolios, place crypto orders and make payments through connected accounts and wallets.
Robinhood and Base have also introduced agent-focused tools. Bases system connects assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and Cursor to wallet functions, while requiring users to approve transactions before execution.
Revolut grows its crypto and AI services
Revolut X launched as a desktop exchange for UK retail clients in May 2024. It later expanded across European markets and added mobile access for eligible users in the UK and European Economic Area.
Crypto services in Europe operate through Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd. The entity holds authorization under the European Unions Markets in Crypto-Assets framework.
Revolut has also expanded its internal AI services. In April, it began rolling out AIR, its financial assistant, for tasks including investment tracking, subscription management and card controls.
However, the Revolut X integration takes a different approach. Rather than limiting customers to Revoluts own assistant, it allows them to connect external AI tools to exchange functions.
