We're pleased to announce the following updates to the Derivatives Product Descriptions. Germany 40 (GERMANY40IXF0:USTF0) perpetual contract. This product will supersede Germany 30 (GERMANY30IXF0:USTF0). This change is connected to recently announced changes to discontinue the Germany 30 stock index: https://deutsche-boerse.com/dbg-en/media/press-releases/German-benchmark-index-DAX-will-be-strengthened-by-additional-qualification-criteria-and-harmonization-with-international-standards-2350430. Users of Germany 30 (GERMANY30IXF0:USTF0) will only be able to reduce the size of their positions and will not be able to increase or create any new positions from 17/09/21 at 5:30PM CEST. The new Germany 40 (GERMANY40IXF0:USTF0) will open on 20/09/20 at 09:00 AM CEST. We would like to advise users who have open positions for Germany 30 to close these positions by 30/09/21. Bitfinex will close all positions at the mark price for Germany 30 (GERMANY30IXF0:USTF0) on behalf of our users and the trading of GERMANY30IXF0:USTF0 from 30/09/20 at 09:00 AM CEST. Since there will be no new reference pricing, the mark price for the Germany 30 (GERMANY30IXF0:USTF0) is not expected to move significantly between 17/09/21 and 30/09/21.
