Animoca Brands, based in Hong Kong, has announced that it will shortly purchase Australian digital marketing business Be Media in order to investigate potential centered on blockchain development in the country.
Animoca Brands stated that it is working to advance its digital property rights for gaming and the metaverse.
Be Media will be in charge of developing agreements with key Australian brands as Animoca Brands aspires to foster the establishment of the open metaverse and give digital property rights to internet users using blockchain and NFTs.
Be Media has already began hiring for blockchain development and project management positions in order to fine-tune the concept.
“The acquisition of Be Media will allow Animoca Brands to extend its core capabilities to support the Australian market and beyond. There are tremendous opportunities in Australia and Be Media will enhance our ability to work with companies that wish to participate in the exciting opportunities presented by the emerging open metaverse,” Yat Siu, the co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, said.
Mr. Fogarty, Be Media's founder and CEO, stated, “I couldn't be more delighted to join Yat and Animoca Brands, the leading frontrunner in Web3 with a bold goal to help construct a genuinely open and decentralized metaverse.” I'm honored to be able to help cherished Australian companies explore prospects in this sector and educate their customers to the metaverse, NFTs, and the power of digital property rights.
Be Media, which was founded in 2013, has been active in the Web 2.0 arena, focusing on digital strategy, search, and social advertising.
Animoca Brands is a digital entertainment, blockchain, and gamification company that is trying to enhance digital property rights.
Eden Games, a French Lyon-based video game developer specializing in racing video games, was also recently bought by the corporation.
According to Blockchain.News, Animoca Brands will use Eden Games' capabilities and expertise to work on existing and new titles in the REVV Motorsport ecosystem, as well as to bring a number of new blockchain-based racing games to market.
The new games will make better use of the NFT Race Passes and other assets obtained by transferring assets from Animoca Brands' F1® Delta Time, which will cease operations in March 2022, according to the article.
