BNB Chain, a Binance-backed smart contract platform, has announced a new cooperation with the University of Zurich's Blockchain Center to participate in the upcoming three weeks of the University's International Summer Schools for blockchain education.
Students will be taught on the fundamentals of critical blockchain topics, such as the Consensus Model, assets on the ledger, data storage in blocks, identity, governance, and smart contracts, with a major theme of exploring a “Deep Dive into Blockchain.” According to the release, Alvin Kan, BNB Chain's Ecosystem Coordinator for Games and NFT and Director of Data & Research, will represent the company in the initiative.
“BNB Chain wants to accelerate the development of blockchain technology and empower students to build innovative projects. This collaboration is an opportunity for the students to dive deeper into blockchain technology and contribute to the future of Web3, as well as for us to amplify the mass adoption of blockchain,” said Alvin in a statement.
Alvin will specifically assist in the creation of a segment of the course on fundamental blockchain principles and will organize an NFT workshop for students. He will also assist with the development of a use case in which a group of five students will cooperate on projects utilizing the strength of the BNB Chain.
Participation in the program will result in the issuance of a certificate as well as a Proof-of-Achievement certificate in the form of NFT. The broader Binance ecosystem is in sync with the natural innovations of blockchain as a disruptive technology in a variety of economic sectors.
Earlier this month, the exchange raised $500 million to boost blockchain innovation and Web3 adoption, with education being a critical component of this ambition. In addition, the trading platform recently secured an agreement with the government of Kazakhstan to promote blockchain education as the country aims to align more with digital transformation.
