The Ethereum Merge is getting closer and it is estimated to happen on September 15. Bitfinex will keep users updated as the date comes closer. Therefore, we have made the following changes to ensure that our users can take the appropriate steps to prepare. Two hours before the Merge , we will pause deposits and withdrawals of Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens. Trading on the Bitfinex ETH, ERC-20, Derivatives and Spot markets will remain unaffected. On September 14 at 9:00 PM UTC, ETHW and ETHS markets will be paused. All orders on ETHW and ETHS CST trading pairs will be canceled. We will also suspend the Chain Split Token conversion tool for ETHW and ETHS. Sometime after the Merge, the CST conversion page will be retired. For more details, please see our previous post.
