US District Judge Richard Berman announced that the criminal trial for Mango Markets attacker Avraham Eisenberg will take place on December 4. Eisenberg is charged with commodity fraud, commodity manipulation, and wire fraud but has not pleaded guilty. He faces up to 20 years in prison on wire fraud charges.
Earlier this year, in January, the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) filed a lawsuit against Avraham Eisenberg, alleging manipulation of decentralized trading markets in Mango Markets. In addition, the SEC formally charged Mango attacker Avraham Eisenberg, accusing him of orchestrating the attack on Mango Markets, leading to a loss of $116 million for the platform.
Layer1 blockchain Viction (formerly TomoChain) has announced the Viction Horizon Hackathon, offering a total reward pool exceeding $200,000. The hackathon covers five tracks: Social, Gaming, Payments, Stablecoins, and DeFi. Online submissions are accepted from December 4 to December 27, with evaluations taking place from December 28 to January 5, and the Demo Day scheduled for January 8 to January 9, 2024. The hackathon has received support from various entities, including Coin98 Super Wallet, BTSE Exchange, DWF Labs, Verichains, Poolz, RockX, BlockPi, Renverse, and Covalent.
The Arbitrum community has initiated the “ArbOS 11 Version” AIP proposal vote, scheduled to end on December 5 at 06:11 UTC, with the current approval rate at 99.78%. The proposal suggests several enhancements to Arbitrum, including support for the EVM Istanbul upgrade and the PUSH 0 opcode, along with various bug fixes. These improvements have undergone audits and are ready for adoption, impacting Arbitrum Orbit chain, Arbitrum One, and Arbitrum Nova (the proposal pertains to the latter two). The ArbOS upgrade can be considered as a hard fork for Arbitrum.

The Cosmos Hub community is currently voting on the proposal “Allocate 600,000 ATOM for Liquidity Staking Growth for pSTAKE,” with the voting deadline set for December 5. The proposal aims to allocate 600,000 ATOM as stkATOM Hub POL to enhance the liquidity staking of pSTAKE stkATOM by distributing it on Astroport (Neutron) and Dexter (Persistence). In return, pSTAKE Finance (through PSTAKE governance) has committed to sharing 15% of its total staking income from ATOM liquidity staking with the Cosmos Hub and waiving the protocol fee charged on the staking of 300,000 ATOM (currently set at 5%).
According to official information, Coinbase will suspend Polymath (POLY) trading on Coinbase.com, Coinbase Exchange, and Coinbase Prime platforms around 3:00 AM Beijing time on December 6. POLY is migrating from Ethereum to the Polymesh Network (POLYX). Coinbase currently has no plans to support POLYX. The deadline to upgrade POLY to POLYX is January 31, 2024. If users still hold POLY after the trading suspension, they will need to use the upgrade bridge and a self-custody wallet to convert POLY to POLYX before the upgrade bridge closes on January 31, 2024, to avoid potential significant asset losses.
According to an official announcement, Binance has decided to halt trading and delist the following tokens on December 7 at 11:00 AM (UTC+8): BitShares (BTS), PERL.eco (PERL), Tornado Cash (TORN), Waltonchain (WTC).
The trading pairs to be removed from Binance are: BTS/USDT, PERL/USDT, TORN/BUSD, WTC/BTC, WTC/USDT. After the trading halt, all open orders will be automatically removed.
Gaming Layer 3 solution XAI announced on the X platform that the Xai Sentry node sale is expected to begin on December 7, 2023, at 12:00. Additionally, to ensure a fair sale, there are no private sales, no whitelist, and no special treatment.
