friend.tech's popularity has sparked interest in the crypto world regarding the SocialFi sector. This article inventories three clone projects inspired by friend.tech.

Over the past two months, friend.tech has been driving attention in the crypto world towards the SocialFi space. Active participation from several crypto influencers, a unique economic model, and a new social paradigm have sparked numerous discussions and generated wealth effects.

Since the official launch of friend.tech, its Total Value Locked (TVL) has shown an overall upward trend. Approximately two months after the protocol's launch, the current TVL stands at $44.66 million, with protocol revenues reaching a staggering $20.72 million.

The project gained significant popularity in a relatively short period and created a wealth effect, leading to the emergence of projects imitating friend.tech on various public blockchains. However, it's worth noting that friend.tech's growth rate has slowed down, and its economic model carries inherent risks that investors should be cautious about.

The following text will inventory projects that mimic friend.tech:

Stars Arena

Stars Arena is a social project built on the AVAX-C chain, where users can enter corresponding rooms by purchasing Keys from the room owner. What sets it apart from friend.tech is that once users purchase a Key to enter a room in Stars Arena, group members can see the content they send to each other. Stars Arena also features a posting and content subscription system similar to X platform, allowing users to freely post in public spaces, which anyone can view, and each piece of content supports tipping.

Stars Arena was in the process of redeveloping and rebooting after a contract vulnerability led to a theft when its TVL reached close to $3 million.

HUB3

HUB3 is a social project built on the Solana blockchain, and its rules are generally similar to those of friend.tech. However, a notable difference is that HUB3 includes a world map interface. When users register in a particular location, their corresponding position is displayed on the map, and they can interact by clicking on the map.

Friendzy

Friendzy is also a decentralized exchange built on the Solana blockchain, but it differs significantly from friend.tech in terms of its user interface and functionality. Compared to friend.tech, Friendzy's price curve is smoother, theoretically accommodating more users.
