We're pleased to announce the launch of support for Universal 2nd Factor (U2F) authentication in Bitfinex Pay, providing Bitfinex account holders with an additional option to authenticate their digital token payments to online merchants that have integrated Bitfinex Pay. Bitfinex users can now choose either their Bitfinex account's U2F security key or Google Authenticator 2FA to verify payment invoices within Bitfinex Pay. Users who have not enabled any 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) will be prompted to do so in the Bitfinex payment gateway. Once U2F or Google Authenticator 2FA is enabled, users will be taken back to the Bitfinex payment gateway to verify and confirm the payment invoices.
