Naver Pay and ShardLab Unveil NFT Ticketing at Major South Korean Event
Naver Pay, one of South Korea‘s leading mobile payment solution platforms, announces collaboration with ShardLab, the technology division of Hashed. This collaboration is aimed at integrating NFT-based ticketing at DAN24, Naver Pay’s annual tech conference. The event has 6,000 attendees utilizing 20,867 issued non-fungible tokens (NFTs), processing 8,849 transactions within two days. This marks one of the largest NFT applications for event management in South Korea.
Seamless NFT Access Through Naver Pay Integration
The collaboration allows attendees to access NFT tickets directly through their existing Naver Pay accounts. These digital assets facilitate conference entry, verify participation in various activities, and enable prize entries. Integrating NFTs into Naver Pay eliminates the need for external blockchain wallets, making the technology more accessible to a broad audience.
ShardLab will provide its proprietary technology, including airdrop APIs and smart contracts, to enable seamless integration. This approach will simplify the experience for users unfamiliar with blockchain.
Naver Pay and ShardLab Bridging Web2 and Web3 for Everyday Use
Simon Kim, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hashed, highlighted the significance of this partnership in bridging Web2 and Web3 technologies. He emphasized how ShardLab‘s solutions can help develop a user-friendly Web3 infrastructure while leveraging Naver Pay’s massive user base. He said,
“This collaboration with Naver Pay signifies a step forward in integrating Web3 technology into everyday digital experiences. With our technical advisory and collaboration-friendly approach with Web2 companies, we can focus and accelerate the development of user-friendly Web3 infrastructure.”
This integration opens new possibilities for NFT applications in events, concerts, and other large-scale activities. With over 2.3 million users and $13 billion in quarterly transactions, Naver Pay provides a robust platform for scaling Web3 integrations.
Mi-young Lee, Head of Pay Infrastructure at Naver Pay, affirmed their commitment to collaborating with leading Web3 companies to enhance digital experiences. Hojin Kim, CEO of ShardLab, added that this event demonstrates the practical potential of NFTs to drive broader adoption in the fintech space.
