Donald Trumps Daughter Targeted in Assassination Attempt

Ivanka Trump was reportedly the target of an assassination plot tied to an alleged operative linked to Iran‘s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Kata’ib Hizballah, according to multiple reports citing federal investigators and intelligence sources.

The suspect, 32-year-old Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, allegedly planned to kill President Donald Trumps eldest daughter as revenge for the 2020 US drone strike that killed Iranian General Qasem Soleimani in Baghdad.

As per the New York Post, investigators said Al-Saadi had surveillance material and a blueprint connected to Ivanka Trumps residence on Indian Creek Island in Florida, where she lives with Jared Kushner and their children. Authorities also alleged he posted online threats directed at the Trump family alongside a map of the property.

One message attributed to Al-Saadi warned Americans that “neither your palaces nor the Secret Service will protect you” and claimed surveillance operations were already underway.

FBI Investigation Expanded Across Multiple Countries

Federal prosecutors said the alleged assassination plot formed part of a much wider terror network operation stretching across Europe and North America.

The Department of Justice accused Al-Saadi of coordinating or assisting in 18 attacks and attempted attacks targeting US and Jewish sites.

Those incidents allegedly included the firebombing of the Bank of New York Mellon building in Amsterdam, a shooting near the US consulate in Toronto, and stabbing attacks in London.

Authorities said he was arrested in Turkey on May 15 before being extradited to the United States.

Court documents described Al-Saadi as a senior figure within Iraq-Iran militant circles with operational links to both Kata‘ib Hizballah and the IRGC. Investigators also claimed he maintained close ties with senior Iranian military figures after Soleimani’s death.

Soleimani Killing Remained Central Motive

The alleged revenge plot traces back to January 2020, when the United States carried out a drone strike near Baghdad International Airport that killed Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

President Donald Trump publicly defended the strike at the time and described Soleimani as an “evil genius.” According to sources cited in the reports, Al-Saadi later became fixated on targeting Trump family members in response.

Former Iraqi military attaché Entifadh Qanbar claimed Al-Saadi repeatedly spoke about “burning down the house of Trump” after Soleimanis death.

Investigators also alleged the suspect viewed Soleimani as a father figure after the death of his own father, Iranian brigadier general Ahmad Kazemi.

Social Media Posts Became Evidence

Federal investigators reportedly recovered multiple online posts tied to Al-Saadis social media accounts, reported the NY Post.

The posts allegedly included photos of maps, weapons, militant imagery, and threats aimed at American and Jewish targets. Prosecutors also cited older messages where Al-Saadi pledged revenge following Soleimanis death.

One court filing reportedly included images showing the suspect alongside military maps and equipment connected to Iranian-backed militant operations.

Despite allegedly operating inside terror networks, investigators said Al-Saadi maintained a visible online presence and frequently posted travel photos from locations including Paris and Kuala Lumpur.

Authorities now hold him in solitary confinement at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn while federal terrorism charges move forward in US court proceedings.
