The Aptos Foundation is set to host a major global Aptos Hackathon in Singapore from September 11th to 13th! Participants will code, design, network, and present their innovative ideas alongside the Web3 best builders community. The competition is divided into four categories: NFT, Social and Gaming; DeFi and Payments; Infrastructure, Tools, and Public Goods; and the Most Innovative Move Project.
Polygon has posted an announcement on the X platform, stating that the Polygon zkEVM Mainnet Testnet has completed its first-ever Dragon Fruit upgrade. The Dragon Fruit upgrade includes the latest EVM opcode PUSH0, making Polygon zkEVM compatible with Solidity v0.8.21. This upgrade requires the consensus contract Polygon.zkEVM.sol to be upgraded. The 10-day timelock period has been triggered starting today.
This version is expected to go live on the mainnet on September 11th, and developers can begin checking and testing the upgrade on the testnet starting today.
Fox Business News reporter Eleanor Terrett posted on X that Gary Gensler, the Chairman of the U.S. SEC, is set to attend two congressional hearings in September this year. These hearings include the Senate Banking Committee hearing on September 12th and the House Financial Services Committee hearing on September 27th, all in local time.
Previously, U.S. lawmakers, particularly Republicans, have voiced a series of criticisms and accusations against Gensler. Patrick McHenry, Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, criticized Gensler for his approach to regulating digital assets as too aggressive and lacking clear guidelines to define which digital assets fall under the SEC's jurisdiction.

According to official information, dYdX will close Testnet 2 on September 11th at 23:00 and launch Testnet 3 on September 13th. This marks the planned final network reset, and all future testnet updates will take place on-chain.
The updates for Testnet 3 include conditional orders, MEV (Miner Extractable Value) nodes, Delay-msg module, V4 supported markets, and the ability to pay gas fees using governance tokens, among others.
Cryptocurrency exchange Txbit has announced its closure on September 14, 2023. All customers are advised to withdraw their funds by September 14, 2023, at 20:00 Beijing time. Any remaining funds after September 14, 2023, will be irretrievable.
The announcement further states that the remaining unclaimed supply of Txbit tokens will be burned in the coming days. A total of 1,510,406,151.2992582 Txbit tokens (= 95.6559% of the total supply) will be burned. Txbit tokens will still be tradable on Pancakeswap in the future.
